The fourth leg of the Premiership Sevens Series has been moved from Kingston Park to the Northern Echo Arena, Darlington. The event, to be held on Saturday 2nd August (kick-off 7.15pm) will feature Newcastle Falcons, Leicester Tigers, Sale Sharks and London Welsh in a round-robin tournament. The top two teams on the evening will go forward to the Premiership Sevens Series Finals at the Twickenham Stoop on the following Friday.

The move has become necessary due to the fact that the Falcon’s new 3G artificial rugby pitch at Kingston Park cannot be guaranteed to be completed in time for the Sevens event. Instead it will now take place at the Northern Echo Arena, home to Darlington Mowden Park RFC. The stadium is the largest club rugby in England with a capacity of over 25,000. It also boasts space for over 550 corporate guests, 1500 car parking spaces and bars & catering outlets for all supporters.

Tickets to the Sevens cost £10 for adults and concessions and £5 for Under 16s and can be purchased from both Newcastle Falcons and Darlington Mowden Park Ticket Offices.
