A round up of last week's game from Frank Jameson

the game, led by old favourite, Joe Mallinson, back from Australian, there for 3.5 years.

As usual the game was played in four quarters.

I was not interested in goal kicks, but there was some strong running, and excellent teamwork.

Jack Walker charged down a kick for a try.

Blake Robinson scored the second try from his new position of hooker, then Chirpy was winded in a strong tackle by a Furness forward..

Then John Dervey (No. 6) made a break and passed to Squidge Gage to score.

Then Parky made a solo try., Dervey also scored, followed by Teabags, looking sharper than last season!

In the third quarter Furness looked sharper, and Joe Mallinson scored under the posts.

In the last quarter, Benji Platt raced in from forty metres up the touchline, beating the close cover for a touchdown.

Davey scored another try, but a scuffle broke out around him, soon broke out.

Mallinson scored again in the corner, then Kendal finished off a good move with Jack Astley covering well to touch down.

A good warm up from both clubs to start the season.
