The Sewing Bee took part in Peter Kay's 'Dance for Life 2017' charity event in Glasgow at the end of March this year

Suitably clad in Kendal Rugby colours, the ladies from the Kendal Rugby Sewing Bee headed north to Glasgow's SSE Hydro to 'bust some moves' for charity, in a packed dance-a-thon!

Congratulations to the ladies for raising £90 for Cancer Research UK!

Dance For Life is a charity dance-a-thon which raises money for Cancer Research UK. Top comedian Peter Kay travels to venues far and wide across the UK, swapping gags for tunes as he spins the hits from over four decades of music.
In Glasgow, the whole Hydro venue was transformed into a giant club with multiple dance floors and state of the art sound and lighting. With over three hours of back to back classics, it was a great night for fun for a worthwhile cause.

Kendal Rugby Sewing Bee meets every Thursday 7-9pm. Everyone is welcome, regardless of ability (come down for a cup of tea and a chat!) and it’s FREE!
All materials provided and anything produced is sold in the club shop to support the club!
