Carlisle came back from 14v24 down, with five minutes to go, scoring two late tries for a well deserved win

After taking a early lead with a Chris Park penalty after three minutes, Kendal struggled to get going, with a number of moves breaking down with loose wayward passes. 0v3

Carlisle took the lead after twenty minutes with a converted try. 7v3

Two excellent bits of skill got Kendal back into the game. A long cross field kick from Dan Lowther was plucked out of the air on the left wing by Dini Nayo, who just managed to stay in field and get across the line for the try, which Chris Park converted. 7v10

All the good work was undone five minutes later, when poor tackling allowed Carlisle to score again. 14v10 at half time.

Kendal had the benefit of the strong breeze, the slope and the sun on their backs in the second half, and came out strongly, with Glen Wightman replacing Nathan Woof at outside half.

After long periods of resolute Carlisle defence, Kendal regained the lead after a quarter of an hour, when Garry Holmes broke through after a lineout. Whilst he was stopped in the line, when the ball came back Josh Chaplow made no mistake, with Chris Park adding the conversion. 14v17.

A Dan Lowther try after twenty five minutes, looked to have secured the points for Kendal 14v24.

However Carlisle had other ideas, and for a second week running, a late comeback grabbed victory.

A converted try with five minutes to play narrowed the gap to 21v24, and from the kick off Carlisle continually recycled the ball, and finally found a gap on the right for a try. 26v24.

Kendal almost secured the kick off, but a knock on gave Carlisle the scrum and they ran the clock down for a well deserved win.
