On Monday 18th July Kendal Hosted a Pitch up and Play event working in partnership local England Rugby development staff and England World Cup winner Tamara Taylor.
over 35 women and girls turned up to the event to experience the games and practices that are delivered by the womens and girls coaches over seen by club Head Coach Chris Downham.
Tamara (who has just returned from 2 weeks playing for England in Canada said "It is fantastic to see clubs offering women’s rugby with such dedication and enthusiasm"

Kendal Womens and Girls section now enter a 3 year programme with England Rugby where the coaches will receive support and have training made available for them as well as support with recruitment of players, coaches referee's and other volunteers for the section.
