All teams seemed to have great fun with the emphasis on participation and continuity of play. Thanks are due to the RFU and the referees for this. Almost all Cumbrian clubs were represented.
Despite only having played together in training on one or two occasions, Kendal showed real team spirit. There were plenty of tries (particularly for Oscar) and plenty of good running with the ball. It was encouraging to see the kids looking for and giving support. Kendal were particularly good at this. They played Carlisle (6-2), Keswick (4-4), Upper Eden (5-2), and Wigton (6-1) and managed to remain unbeaten.
We were lucky enough to have extra players and loaned Reuben and Eddie to Aspatria for some of their games.Well done to them for entering into the spirit of he tournament.
