Amazingly, this fixture was a great success as almost all players seemed to relish the prospect of rolling in the mud. Despite the conditions, there was pretty good continuity of play. As last time, there were plenty of tries scored and inevitably the final result was hotly contested. Reuben was convinced Kendal had won a decisive victory and quite convincingly reeled off the names of the try scorers. Strangely, his class mate Freddie Ince, playing for Kirkby saw things a little differently.
