The club was busy, the rain was falling but we all had fun.

Kendal welcomed Penrith and Keswick to the Hornets nest, on a very wet and cold morning.
Penrith brought 2 sides and Keswick 1, Kendal were split into 3 sides.
Team 1 contained, Max, Frank, Reuben, Charlie, George, Jack and Joseph.
Team 2, Emma, Eve, Calum, Joe, Gus and Lucas.
Team 3, Sam, Oliver, Caitlin, Toby, Chris, and Matthew.
The players had to adapt to the new 3 pass rule, meaning that from the start or after a tag had been removed, they had to pass 3 times before they could score.

This meant that the players would have to be using the skills that the coaches have had them working on.

This worked very well, all player's having to react to the ball player, ball position in the game and using all the pitch space.
All players got 3 games, 2 v Penrith and 1 v the evergrowing Keswick under8s, which is a pleasure to see.
Unfortunately after the 1st game, Matthew wasn't well and had to leave, get well soon.
Some great rugby played in all 3 games, by all sides, given the conditions.

Fantastic passing from Eve, Chris, and Max, some fantastic defence from super Sammy Birch, he was literally everywhere, no tags were safe!!
Superb support play from Caitlin, Charlie, Joe, Oliver, great game and space awareness from Toby, Emma, Frank and Calum, and some great tries scored by Reuben, Joseph, Gus, George and Jack.
Was really good to see all the player's using the skills that the coaches have been working on, coming to fruition in a game situation, and all the players, Penrith and Keswick included, playing with smiles on all their faces.
Special mention to player of the week, Lucas, who despite being frozen solid, worked hard and kept trying all morning.
Big thanks to Sarah and Paul for organising the morning, to all the parents and players of all the sides, and to Les and his team for some much needed hot food and drinks!!

A great morning had by all, see you all next time.
