After 5 weeks of training the U10s got their first taste of competitive rucking, mauling and scrummaging. And the team did Kendal proud - a great start to the season from new players and old- well done everyone.
In attack everyone had at least one strong run with the ball with stand out contributions from Barney, Max and Jack. In defence there were stand out contributions from Callum, Aaron, Robbie and Elliot.
It's always difficult to select a player of the week after such a successful morning, but the choice in the end was between three players: Callum, Max and Jack. Jack won the trophy for an awesome all round rugby display and 5 cracking tries.
North Ribb have a similar coaching philosophy to us and it's always a fixture to look forward to in the calendar. Thank you to the players, coaches and parents for a great morning and we look forward to the rematch later in the season.
So, highly enjoyable rugby which bodes well for the season. We also found a fantastic local referee who dealt with the dark art of the breakdown area expertly. Anyone catch his name?
See you on Sunday, Andrew
