Sunday Mornings from 10.30 until 11.45 at Kendal Hornets.
All are very welcome to come to Kendal Hornets and give rugby union a try.
If you are in Year 7 at school, i.e the first year at Secondary School, this is the agegroup team for you.
You will learn the skills of Rugby, as it evolves from Transtional Minis rugby to the 15 a side game whilst having a lot of muddy FUN!
The Under 12 Hornets players meet up each week to train at Kendal Hornets to improve their core rugby skills and enjoy themselves. Throughout the season, we play fixtures against teams from Cumbria, Lancashire and N Yorks. Our aim in these games is to play fairly, to play well and to represent our Club, our teammates and ourselves as well as we can. As well as this we take part in several Tournaments/Festivals in the North of England each year.
All of our players take a full and active part in fixtures and all of our players get 'even' game time. From the most experienced player, to a complete 'newbie', everyone who wishes to play, gets the opportunity to do so.
All boys are welcome to play for the U12's Hornets whether you are a total beginner, have tried Rugby in the past or you have bags of experience - there is a warm welcome for you.
We would love you to come down to the Hornets Nest and give us a try. The only things that you'll need initially are a pair of Rugby or Football Boots with studs in safe condition (metal stuuded rugby boots are ideal, moulded studs less so and bladed boots are not suitable at all).
Everyone gets 4 sessions at the Club before they have to pay their subs and register with the RFU. To play for Kendal Hornets U12's in a fixture, you must be registered, have paid your subs, have boots and a mouthguard.
The U12 coaches at Kendal Hornets are enthusiastic supporters of the U12 New Rules Of Play and a copy of the U12 Rules can be found by following this link
