Kendal Ladies headed up to Carlisle to play their first 10's match and the effort from all the team was praised by head coach Rob Quarry.
With a disappointing start the ladies pulled back to a score of 28-32 with last third to play.
After losing second row player Emma Rowlinson to concussion a Carlisle substitute was borrowed. The last third was played with pace but Kendal took siege as the Carlisle ladies turned over the ball and with a pacey full back saw Aimee Sharp chase down the Carlisle player.

Pace and agility gave Vanessa Temple 4 tries followed by Sarah Simpson's 2.
With a final score of 40-52 the Wasps succeeded defeat this time but with another game under their belts and a little more experience to stand them in good stead for Sunday's trip to Southport in a 10's competition.
The Kendal team consisted of Abby Bland, Amiee Sharp, Meg Brady, Sarah Simpson, Vanessa Bonita Temple, Fleur Stanton, Emma Rowlinson, Kerry Procter, Emma Chadwick, Mary Page.
