Coach James Mackereth's perspective:
So after a super performance last week, when we were perhaps a little bit unlucky, we're off on the road for what seems almost like a bonus fixture really.
The run up to the Sefton fixture was a bit tense at times, but once the occasion arrived we really hit the ground running and put on a great show I thought. Some great performance throughout the side too. I thought Emma Rowlinson was magnificent in the pack, and Aimee Sharp was solid in a really dominant front row. Amy Orrow linked the forwards and backs brilliantly as ever, and the back division functioned superbly, with Cath Sewell's try a fitting reward for a busy display and Lauren Harkness did everything asked of her in a great first run at 12.
This week, the pressure's off and we can shake things up a bit!
Our friends up the road at Windermere have helped the cause this week, with Dom Brown and Vicki Nelmes joining the pack, meaning we can shuffle the deck a bit. Sarah Muncaster starts at tight head after a great shift off the bench last week, with Aimee Sharp moving to the back row. Tamar Benson gets a run at full back this week, and the back line is otherwise unchanged.
More debutants off the bench this week too, as Lorne Mellonie and our new recruit from Barrow Ladies RLFC Kelly Friend join the match day squad for the first time.
Exciting times!!!
