A worthwhile outing against Carlisle last week has seen a lot of players put their hands up for selection...
Forwards
The main changes from last week see Kerry Stevens return to the front row, joined by Aimee Sharp and Emma Grunnill, with Natalie Greenwood switching to the second row after a super performance last week and this week partnered by Mary Stansfield.
Back Row
The back row features Amy Beard continuing at blindside after a fantastic shift AWAY against Preston Grasshoppers, joined by Emma Rowlinson and the turbo-charged carrying of Samara Tomlinson at number 8.
Half-backs
Cath Sewell starts at scrum half and Fleur Stanton, a try scorer last week, leading the backs and continuing the pairing at outside half
Three-quarters
The backline is largely unchanged, boosted by the return of Rowan Boardley joining Josie Leiper on the wings and Chelsea Clarkson returning from holidays to join Michelle Larkin at centres. Completing the backs line-up is full back and try scorer from last week Hayley Hodgson
Sarah Wilkinson is unavailable after breaking her collerbone in the away game at Preston Grasshoppers.
Coach James Mackereth’s Viewpoint:
“My biggest squad of the season for the last home game of the season. A lot at stake with a high league finish position the reward for the winners. The bench is full of impact and also features 3 more league debutants in prop Zoe Dixon, back row Lauren Harkness and winger Sophie Little, all of whom featured prominently in last week's friendly, pushing the number of new players for this season to 18!!!!”
