Kendal Junior Colts go 2 for 2

Following the tight home win against Kirkby Lonsdale to open the season last week, the lads headed to Tyldesley for their first league away game on a very hot Sunday.
It was a nervy start for Kendal with a few handling errors and Tyldesley taking advantage less than 3 minutes into the game to score from a decent move, which they converted. Slowly we started to gain some momentum, despite Conor going off with an ankle injury, but we were keeping discipline and getting some go forward, kicking a penalty in the 11th minute to narrow the gap.
Kendal were soon winning most of the rucks and Charlie pulled out an excellent chip and chase on the 15th minute to score and he converted his own try.
After a water break and a stoppage for a Tyldesley injury, Charlie scored his 2nd from another chip and chase, though he missed the conversion this time. The boys were putting together some good phases, and despite the ref pinging Kendal for an early lift, Kendal won the scrum and Freddie scored just before the end of the half after lots of hard work by the forwards. Kendal up 20-7 at half time.
Excellent start to the 2nd half had Harley burrowing through from a maul, though the conversion attempt from out wide missed again. The backs were getting more hands on the ball and before 10 mins of he half had gone, Charlie held a good line to put Jack in space and score a try, which was converted by Charlie. The lads started to give a few penalties as they were tiring and Tyldesley pulled a try back before the final water break. The scrums were getting messy and Kendals LH was getting pinged for popping up despite the Tyldesley TH rarely keeping a bind.
Kendal moved Cam off the wind to 12 with Johnny going to wing and we were trying to move the ball and stretch their defence, which resulted in another try for Charlie out near the touchline with 5 mins to go, which he didn't convert. At the death Tyldesley, who could have given up long ago, scored again, which they kicked to make the game seem closer than it needed to be.

Well done lads.
