A photo shoot for Ian Nicholson's squad to celebrate a successful season. During 2013-14, the team, coached by Ian Nicholson and Jamie Postlethwaite, ably assisted by Robert Colquhoun and Paul Roberts, won the Lakeland Cup, by beating Westmorland Barbarians home & away by an aggregate score of 47-17.It goes without saying that Nigel Pearson coaches the forwards, so we have a good team of experienced staff. The other keen helper is Jake Dent, who is in charge of another important duty - first aid for the players.
The team, well captained by Reece Hennedy - Otway, finished a creditable 3rd in their first competitive league season in the Raging Bull League D, and also reached the Semi Final of the plate competition.
The team will progress to the Under 18's league next season, and hope to make further progress up the league ladder.
Nigel Pearson is very proud of the progress Ian's squad has made so far, and is confident that in a relatively short time, some of the squad will be hammering on the door of the 1st XV squad.
