Eccles is one of the promoted sides in their second season this year. They are currently ninth in the league table. Last Saturday they had a tough game against Penrith away from home. At half time, not a single try had been scored. In the second half, the battle continued. The Cumbrians continued to kick their penalties, but Eccles scored the only try of the game. The final score was 12-5 to the Cumbrians, but the Lancs lads are obviously going to fight for every point as the winter conditions deteriorate.
We shall see as Kendal fight for every bonus point at the top of the table. Duncan Green and and Gary Holmes return from injuries, and James Thompson played a tough game for the Development Squad against Furness who drew 19-19 in Barrow in a fine Cumbrian derby.
