Last home game before Christmas – and of the year.
Waterloo sit one place off the foot of the table, with just a two wins this season, against the other two sitting in the relegation places, having collected just twelve points they sit eight points behind fourth bottom Doncaster Phoenix. Despite this they looked a good side when we played them at the start of the season, pulling back from 0v19 down to tie the game going into injury time, being only the width of a crossbar away from leading and probably winning, before a few mistakes and then a bit of magic from Dini saw victory snatched away them. So not to be underestimated.
TEAM : Will Montgomery comes in for his First XV debut in the back row in place of Matty Houghton who starts on an all forward bench. James Gough is away so Dini Noyo moves to scrum half and Leo Mercer swaps to the left wing, with Mark Carruthers moving from the bench to the right wing. Danny Barker returns in the centre in place of Damian Armstrong.
WEATHER : No repeat of the Ilkley fiasco if the forecasters are to be believed, as it looks fairly warm and dry, after a few wet days in Kendal.
If you haven’t noticed, it is “Christmas Jumper day” so if you have one bring it along on Saturday. I am very please to say I certainly don’t have one in my wardrobe (they are not Black & Amber) – I’ll bring some humbugs instead !
