Kendal Rugby Club is introducing a FREE Sunday afternoon touch rugby session on our 3G artificial pitch.
This Community Rugby Session will be held on Sundays from 13.30 – 14.30. It will trial for 4 weeks, with a view to continuing based on attendance and support.
The Community Rugby Hour is:

  1. FREE to attend
  2. Open to anyone, of any gender, over the age of 16
  3. Organised and managed by KRUFC for the trial period

3G Pitch
There are guidelines that must be adhered to, as for any booking of our 3G pitch. These include, but are not limited to:
• No food or drink (other than plain water) is to be taken into the 3G compound
• Players must bring their own water bottle
• The 3G pitch is to be vacated in a timely manner at 14.30, if the next booking group is waiting
Covid-19
A club official, supported by volunteers, will take a register for Track and Trace and assist with Covid declaration forms. Although the Covid declaration is not compulsory, it is recommended by the RFU.
The declaration can be completed online up to 24h in advance and is found here: https://app.proactivereporting.com/covid19/form/BdcorwbyVRx1YiQO
Ball cleaning equipment shall be provided. Ball cleaning and hand sanitising must adhere to RFU guidelines, which currently advises 15-minute intervals. There will also be a water break at the same time, when every player must hand sanitize and the match ball(s) will also be cleaned/sanitized. If a player is wearing gloves, they must change their gloves for a new, clean pair during these breaks.
