...we will now run all International Ticket Sales via a ballot

Six Nations Tickets 2022

As per Saturday's programme, Roger Wilson has decided, after over 30 years, to hand over the responsibility for the Club’s International Ticket allocation. We are all aware of Roger’s ongoing support of the Club and his sterling efforts in so many areas, which we are assured he will continue with, but we appreciate his work with this specific task. Thanks Rog.

The RFU has, for many years, been trying to ‘standardise’ ticket sales to eradicate spurious sales to touts and other secondary profiteering organisations not connected with rugby. With the advent of ‘e’ tickets the RFU have decided that, starting with the 2022 Six Nations all tickets allocated to affiliated clubs may only be sold to fully paid-up, registered club members as notified to the RFU (which we comply with when subs are paid and membership cards issued).

With this in mind it has been decided that we will now run all International Ticket Sales via a ballot, which all fully paid up members will be entitled to enter. For the coming Six Nations we have 14 tickets available for both the Wales game on Saturday 26th February 2022 and 14 for the Ireland encounter on Saturday 12th March 2022.

It is hoped that, in future, we will be able to offer multiples of 4 tickets for each ballot winner, but as the maths doesn’t work this year, there will be 3 winners of 4 tickets and 1 of 2, for each game. The Club does not intend to make a profit on this transaction, simply provide a service, so tickets will be sold at face value. Winning members will have to download the ‘Twickenham Stadium App’ to receive their ‘e’ tickets and will not be able to sell their allocation, but will (obviously) be able to share their good fortune with friends and family.

What next?
Stirling Hulme has agreed to step into Roger’s shoes, so please contact him on 07881 936089 or at stirlinghulme@gmail.com confirming which match ballot you wish to be included in. Entries to the ballot will close at midday on Wednesday 5th January 2022.

The ballot for both games will be drawn at the home game against Altrincham Kersal on Saturday 8th January 2022.
