The perfect opportunity for YOU to try something new, fun and exciting!

The latest trend to hit the rugby scene, Walking Rugby is taking the nation by storm.

The fun team game, for those over the age of 55, caters and encourages people of all abilities and backgrounds to take part in a simplified version of one of the nation’s favourite games. New and emerging, Walking Rugby offers a FANTASTIC opportunity for anyone looking to keep fit and try something new.

It does differ slightly – as you may have guessed and as the name suggests, there is no running allowed, nor any tackling, scrums, rucks or mauls, only a simple two-handed ‘touch’ to represent the tackle. It’s all about promoting a friendly and fun environment, where ANYONE and EVERYONE can join in – there is absolutely no requirement for any rugby experience to take part.

We, at Kendal Rugby Club, are lucky enough to have our very own Walking Rugby team – the Auld Greys. Having started back in 2018 with players of mixed abilities and backgrounds, the most senior of our teams at the club have established a great reputation. We are on the lookout for new recruits and would like to invite YOU to come join us – an experience like no other, Walking Rugby with the Auld Greys is an active hour, boasting loads of FUN, COMPETITION, ENCOURAGEMENT and FITNESS.

So, what are you waiting for? Get involved!

Meet: Every Wednesday
Location: Kendal Rugby Club | Shap Road | Kendal | Cumbria | LA9 6NY

We’d love to see a flourish of new faces join us, in what we think is a wonderful incentive – trying to keep people active and most importantly, enjoy themselves – so bring a friend, try it out, we know you’ll love it.
