Actively promoting the team and what it means to be part of Kendal Rugby Club – there has been some FANTASTIC events put on by the squad to help them get the necessary funds.

To kick it off, the team got to grips and showed their true salesman ways, raising awareness and gaining sponsorship by attending our sponsor, SBS Cumbria Ltd’s, trade fair. A massive THANK YOU goes out to John Uttley and SBS Cumbria Ltd, who were kind enough to offer our U18 Senior Colts a trade space last month!

BUT the action didn’t stop there – trailing the latest trends the squad added a little flare to their next fundraiser, putting on a lady’s fashion show. Attracting a wonderful audience and proving to be a MASSIVE success, the fantastic team raised over £640 in total! An outstanding effort!

Now we turn to this week, two of our very brave U18 Colts embarked on something little even dream of – a SKYDIVE. On what was a great day for them both and the club, a massive congratulations goes to both, Luke and Matt who took to the air and leapt out of a plane – we don’t know whether they’re crazy or brave – we’ll say both!

There has been some amazing efforts for our U18 Senior Colts but this wouldn’t have been possible without the help of some of our FANTASTIC volunteers – showing the true values of what it means to be part of a local rugby club, they deserve the biggest of pat on the backs from all of us – or a pint. I think we know which they’d prefer…
