A first MoM for Alfie, but only Ben Dixon and Aaron Stephens have picked up votes in more games than Alfie.

It's taken a while for him to settle into the team, but in the last few games he has shown why those in the know suggested at the start of the season he was going to be a really useful recruit, when he joined from Kirkby. His powerful running has opened up space for those outside to exploit, and for a second time this season the team had Harrogate worried.

Not surprising with the excellent first half, there was some strong competition this week, so it would need something special to come out on top. It may also have been useful to have a name at the start of the alphabet, as that was where most of the votes went.

Ben Dixon was a vote back, and Aaron Stephens and Ben O'Halloran a further vote back, followed by Alistair Thompson and breaking the early alphabet list Patrick Wolstenholme.
