I did wonder if it was even worth bothering running a vote this weekend. Three tries, and should have been a fourth if the pass had found him, where instead he set up a try.

This was backed up by picking up the “Sweet Treats By Martin Frickel” MoM – then going one better and getting the “RugbyNorth Regional 1NW” Player of the Round

The Director of Rugby’s piece in Saturday’s programme, pointed out Zane and a few others pull the average age of the young team up. However whilst some of the thirty-somethings may be taking life at a bit more leisurely pace these days, Zane seems to play with as much energy as his opposite wing, who is half his age, and may not even have been born when Zane first pulled on a Black & Amber shirt, but together they are a key part in the revitalisation of the way the team have played this season.

Five others did get votes – All twenty played a part.
