In a close contest that ended 7-3 to Carlisle the U15s can be proud of their efforts.
Despite spending much of the 1st half defending inside our own 22, the boys dug deep - defending well and matching everything Carlisle threw at them. Helped by a dominant scrum they got some momentum and got to half time 0-3 ahead.
In a very even 2nd half there wasn’t much between the teams. The half never really got into a flow due to numerous infringements from both sides as they cancelled each other out. However Carlisle managed their only breakaway to breach the Kendal defence quite late in the game to sneak a tight win.
Kendal may be out of the Cumbria Cup but they showed an intensity that will stand them in good stead in upcoming games.
Good luck to Carlisle in their next fixture.
