After a slow start, picking up just a losing bonus point from their opening two games against Harrogate and Lymm, Billingham have won five of their next six games, with their only loss being by a point against Ilkley in a game where they picked up a double bonus point. Their wins on the road have however both been by less than seven points, against Hull and Sandal.
So another tough challenge, against the team who won the last competitive match to be held at the old Mint Bridge.
With the teams immediately above and below us, playing those in the bottom three, so expecting maximum points this weekend, a win would be useful to help the team extend the gap from the bottom three.
TEAM : An interesting selection. Garry Holmes come in at hooker, with Duncan Green moving to prop and Glenn Chesher starting on the bench. Dom Musetti, who was forced off early last weekend is back in the team. Will Montgomery starts in the back row, with Matt Charters taking a turn on the bench.
Behind the pack, despite the transformation when they swapped places last weekend, double try scorer Mattie Kaye is back at scrum half, and Dini Noyo returns to the wing. The only changing being the return of Brett Ashley, with Mark Carruthers starting on the bench
WEATHER : Looking better after a wet start to the day
REMEMBER whilst everything else may be changing this season, some things stay the same. So as we are now in to the darker Winter months, it is a 2.00pm kick off.
Help the gate staff and arrive early if you need a parking space at the ground, to avoid missing kick off.
Don’t forget to buy a programme, to find out about why I was confusion about a baker who I thought thought our Captain’s was his Mom.
LOOK OUT : For details of more rugby at Mintbridge on Sunday, where the Wasps are due to be looking for theor first win of the season against Sunderland Ladies.
