A first game against Durham City since the 1995/96 season (a 35v16 home win at Mint Bridge). Prior to that we had played each other once a season for seventeen seasons, Durham having the upper hand in the early days with eight wins and a draw from the first ten games, with Kendal coming back with five and a draw from the next seven.
All of that will have no relevance in this weekend’s game and teams. A tough start away at a team who last season won 24 of their 26 games to game promotion as lLeague champions. So they will be keen to start where they left off, whilst we will want to make a fresh start, especially after two tough encounters pre-season
TEAM : Much changed from the last game of last season with only five players who also played in the season ender against Ilkley, five players make their League debut.

WEATHER : After a wet week the forecast for Durham on Saturday suggests we could have a dry after noon.
