TODAY Kick off 3.00pm at Mint Bridge
Club open for food before the game.
........................................................
After the impressive seven try win at Carlisle last weekend, the team makes a return to Mint Bridge for their first League game there for just over eighteen months,
The visitors are Vale of Lune , who along with us, were one of five teams who started the season with a bonus point win, theirs being 24v20 at home to Douglas (Isle of Man).
So, it should be a close encounter and if the Kendal team can repeat their performance at Carlisle, it should be an entertaining game. It is the only 1st XV game at home until mid-October, with a run of three away games to follow, so please get down to give the team some extra support, to hopefully continue a good start to the new season.
Vale will be looking for a first win in Kendal since Boxing Day 1986 (we have only met eight times since then - four in the League)
TEAM; Just the way change to the team selected last week. Chris Park who had to drop out, returns at fullback with Kris Bratton moving to the wing in place of Jordan Johnson. Dan Greenwood, who played well after coming off the bench last week, moves to No.8 with Greg Wrathall moving into the second row in place in place of Ross McKay.
Liam Hayton and Nick Carlton, join Tom Moulton on the bench.
WEATHER : Earlier forecasts of a dry afternoon are replaced by 40% chance of showers at kick off but getting better during the game.
On Sunday the Wasps have their first game of the season, going away to Preston Grasshoppers with a 2.45pm kick off, whilst the U18 Senior Colts will be entertaining Widnes at Mint Bridge with a 1pm kick off and FREE ENTRY!
