Once again Kendal were slow to wake up in the game by which time Wigton had taken a 10 nil lead through two well taken tries both of which went unconverted.
Then on twenty-five minutes the robust & combative Jack Lashley broke through the defence on a charge to the line. Sean Garnett converted to pull Kendal right back into the contest.
A Wigton penalty close to halftime extended their lead to 7 - 13 at the break.
Kendal came out firing on all cylinders for the second half & forced two early penalties both of which Garnett kicked to level the scores at 13 points a piece.
But almost immediately Wigton hit back scoring their third unconverted try.
Kendal were having none of it & released Lashley on a rampaging run to the try line for him to touch down & level the scores again. Garnett's difficult conversion from wide out was for the victory but his attempt was wide of the posts.
