Kendal came ever so close to their first win of the season & looked to be on their way to their third draw of season when eight minutes from time Creighton kicked a penalty at goal to dash Kendal hopes.
Creighton looked to have scored the game's opening try midway through the first half however the referee disagreed with what seemed to be a good grounding of the ball & awarded a scrum instead. Kendal then defended valiantly to clear the danger.
In an unexciting game scoring opportunities were few & far between. Kendal's only first half chance came when scrumhalf Matty Kaye kicked ahead & raced upfield after his kick only to be beaten to the touch down by a finger nail.
Kendal had the chance to take the lead during the second half but the kick at goal was only just wide of the mark.
After Creighton took the lead Kendal spent the last few minutes of the game attacking in the visitors twenty-two but to no avail.
They now travel to Silloth next week for the final match of 2013.
