After the narrow escape last weekend, another tough test this week as the team travel to Penrith.

After a heavy away loss at current leaders Stockport on the opening weekend, Penrith have won their next two games, at home to Douglas and last weekend away at Vale of Lune, although as both are struggling at the moment, not easy to judge their form.

TEAM : The Good News is four of the injured from last week are named, Reece Tomlinson, Hugh Davies, Kris Barton with Tom Moulton on the bench. So only Matt Houghton misses out, with Alistair Thompson moving from the wing to take his place. Nick Carlton returns on the wing, whilst Dan Shorrock who played well last week misses out, as does Dan Greenwood, at his ex-club, with Greg Wrathall dropping back to No.8 and Liam Hayton coming in at No.4.

Ross McKay and Jordan Johnson fill the other two places on the bench.

WEATHER : Cloudy but the forecast suggests it will stay dry,

DIRECTIONS : Sure the team would welcome some extra friendly faces and voices of support,

If you have not been to the often appropriately named “Winters Park” it is conveniently located on the outskirts of the town. If coming up the M6, exit at junction 40, then take the A66 towards Appleby / Scotch Corner one junction to Kemplay Bank roundabout, then the second turn on the A686 towards Alston, and the ground is less than a mile away on the left.

Alternatively if you stay on the A6 at Shap and come up through Clifton and Eamont Bridge (or come over Kirkstone Pass through Patterdale and Pooley Bridge), take the third turn off at Kemplay Bank roundabout, then as above.

There is a large grandstand (but there is at Carlisle and it was closed) and a modern clubhouse.
