Kendal Rugby Club is recruiting players of all ages and genders for pre-season training at our much coveted facilities. We will extend a warm welcome to players of all ages and genders. Whether you're a new face, old face, fresh to the game, seasoned pro, or old friend, you're all welcome at Mint Bridge!

Our Club
Kendal Rugby Club features two floodlit full-size pitches: One is traditional grass and the other a Third Generation synthetic surface (3G), which complies with BS-EN, FIFA, World Rugby and RFL regulations. We also boast two reduced size, floodlit training pitches and a state-of-the-art Gymnasium designed by ex-Tongan International Rugby Player Sililo Martens of Gyms9.

We have on-site services from Kendal Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic and Laura Martindale Injury Rehab & Sports Therapy. Club membership includes reduced rates on these services.

We have a ground-level, licensed, outdoor take-away servery and 2 upstairs bars featuring a 75" HDTV with Sky Sports and BT Sport and a flexible conferencing suite that can be configured for business meetings, weddings, parties and special events.

Our Rugby
Pre-season has started with a BANG! with a host of new players signing for the club (personal interviews to come soon - watch this space!) and our highly rated Senior U18 Colts from last season joining the ranks of our senior squad!

The attendance for male and female squads has been excellent and if you follow us on social media, you will see some great photos of training from our club photographer Paul Want.

We field 19 teams altogether, including senior male teams, a senior women's team and a Mini & Youth section which includes 'Little Stingers' and two girls age group squads. We play touch rugby every Monday night on the 3G pitch from 7pm and field a Social & Vets team occasionally throughout the season. We also run a vibrant over 55's Walking Rugby section that meets every Wednesday at 2pm!
