
Cumbria Senior Women travelled south on Sunday to Long Eaton Rugby Club to play the combined counties of Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire in the Gill Burns County Championship. Cumbria Senior Men hosted East Midlands at Carlisle Rugby Club on Saturday and earned an excellent 21 v 17 victory in their Bill Beaumont County Championship tie. Cumbria reached the half-way point with a 21 point lead without reply, but played the entire second half with 14 men after a red card and eventually ended the game with only 13 men after a futher yellow card.
