Another excellent weekend for Kendal players representing Cumbria

Kendal players gained County honours at Men's, Women's and Junior Colts levels at the weekend

Cumbria Senior Women travelled south on Sunday to Long Eaton Rugby Club to play the combined counties of Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire in the Gill Burns County Championship. Despite a hard-fought battle, NLD emerged 26 v 12 victors. Kendal players: Hayley Hodgson (try) and Cath Sewell

Cumbria Senior Men hosted East Midlands at Carlisle Rugby Club on Saturday and earned an excellent 21 v 17 victory in their Bill Beaumont County Championship tie. Cumbria reached the half-way point with a 21 point lead without reply, but played the entire second half with 14 men after a red card and eventually ended the game with only 13 men after a futher yellow card. Kendal players: Reece Tomlinson, Greg Wrathall, Glen Weightman (3 conversions), Ben Dixon, Matt Houghton, Steve Nelson and Glenn Chesher

Cumbria Junior U17 Colts travelled to Billingham Rugby Club to face Durham Colts and earned a very creditable 31 v 31 draw. Kendal players: Luke Atkinson, Oliver Stephenson, Robbie Kincart (try), Idris Hill, Nathan Halhead and Connor Lees
