This year the Auld Greys have been supporting Dignity in Dementia.
As well as raising over £1000 for them, we have started running sessions for them that involve simple catching and throwing games, a little gentle competition and a whole lot of laughing.
The sessions are a great opportunity for fun but also provide exercise and an opportunity to socialise for people experiencing dementia as well as their carers. Amongst those taking part is Len Casey who played rugby league for England and Great Britain.
The sessions have become a real fixture in Dignity in Dementia's programme of activities.
Thanks to the club for making space available and to the catering team for organising teas and coffees.
