Man of the Season

Man of the Season

Mark Hodgkiss22 Apr - 20:00

Who did you choose ?

Aaron Stephens

I thought it may be a difficult choice this year, but as so often in the past, it ended up a close run between just two, and Aaron came out on top

A switch to fullback (and scrum half and centre) has seen Aaron, who had done so well in 2024/25, grow in stature.

Solid in defence, good fielding the high kicks, always looking to set up an attack - and showed against Alnwick and Penrith he can force his way through tackles for a try.

Will he back in the 10 shirt next season ?

RUNNER UP

Oscar Coxon

Only just behind Aaron on the first choice and well clear of the rest on First and Second choice votes

Finished the season well, with a number of eye catching performances.

It often takes front five players a while to become established. So two games off his fiftieth appearance at just twenty, Oscar is running a little bit ahead of schedule.

BEST OF THE REST

Alistair Thompson

I thought this season's vote may be all about the emerging talent, but making his 200th appearance and holding down a back row place against strong competition, Alistair gives 100% every week.

Like in past seasons, the different way this vote runs to the normal weekly one, saw Alistair come through with strong support in all three rounds of voting

Despite his late entry, Robbie Kincart did well and sat in a group a little way back on Alistair, and a little way in front of another group who were squeezed out by the strong competition from those around them. Maybe it will be their time next season

Two voted for Aaron in all three rounds (they need not have bothered), and Alistair and Glenn also had fans who voted more than once, so the second and third choices were discounted.

As ever THANKS to all who voted here or in the regular match day votes.

All a bit of fun, (sadly no prizes), but hopefully a mark of appreciation, for the hard work both on the day and in training, that all the team put in for our entertainment
