Kendal Rugby Club is an award-winning facility opened in 2017. So much more than a Community Sports Hub, its flexible floor space and top-of-the-range kitchens can and have catered for everything from private parties, business conferences, meetings, training courses, seminars and our famous match day hospitality… the list is endless!
The Club has its own wedding licence and boasts a function room which holds over 200 seated guests, a separate bar accommodating a further 140 guests and a covered balcony area with fell views, accessible from either bar.
To help us maximise everything the club has to offer, we wish to recruit two key individuals:
General Manager
Managing a small team and reporting to the Board, the General Manager will be responsible for all aspects of Kendal Rugby Football Club. This includes managing the day to day running of the club, leading and developing the team and inspiring our volunteers. The General Manager will also play an integral part in the strategic direction of the club, engaging with the local community, club sponsors, existing members and potential members.
Ideally, you will have relevant qualifications in the hospitality industry coupled with previous experience managing a venue, ideally in a sporting environment. Membership of the Institute of Hospitality is desirable. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference not only to the club, but also the wider community.
In return you will receive a competitive salary, pension, club discounts/gym membership and a performance related bonus.
Bar Supervisor
The Bar Supervisor role encompasses all aspects of bar administration. These include, but are not limited to, excellence in management of profit, stock, cellar, staff, cleansing, presentation, audit and service delivery.
We desire an experienced, professional, focused, driven individual, to strengthen the existing service delivery and realise the Club’s untapped potential, delivering on our vision for business growth and excellent customer service, 100% of the time.
In return you will receive a competitive salary, pension, club discounts/gym membership and a performance related bonus.
If you have the credentials, experience and desire to grab one of these vital roles by the horns, please send a copy of your CV along with a covering letter to jlmilton@hotmail.co.uk, or call Stacey on 07812 562151 for an informal chat.
