Contrasting fortunes for the two teams last season. Whilst the Wasps struggled and ultimately fell just short of maintaining their place in the Championship North 2 (just one more bonus point would have done it !) Keswick were winning the North 1 title with 10 wins out of 12, eleven with Try scoring bonus points and also a losing bonus point, to narrowly pip Ryton to the promotion (the two teams finished level on points)
So the two teams swap placed at the start of this season
However at the start of last season, the Wasps had gone to Keswick in another pre-season game, and won comfortably.
So should be a good test for both teams
The Wasps start their League season at home to Peterlee and Horden on 27th September - when Keswick will start their new season away at Liverpool St Helens
A week later (4th October) the two teams meet again in the Intermediate Cup (also at Mint Bridge)
