After an absolutely terrible journey to Sefton (motorway closures caused massive delays), the wasps rushed into a delayed kick off with no time to warm up. This reflected in a shaky and unsure first half for the Wasps, Sefton did some hard running with good lines and took advantage of the wasps mistakes. At half time Sefton had a well deserved lead of 24-0.
However in the second half the Wasps came alive! They set their defensive line and when attacking they made gaps in the Sefton defence, resulting in the wasps winning the second half and pitting 19 points on the score board.
The wasps had 7 new players on the pitch and they all stepped up, showing real promise for the season ahead.
