The Wasps were so eager to play their first home game of this season, and this showed in the agression of the opening few minutes where they quickly made holes in Sheffields defence with Hayley Hodgson breaking through to score the first try.
The two teams were evenly matched throughout the first half with Sheffield answering back with 2 tries of their own.
As they went into the second half neither team backed down and a mistake in a Sheffield line out was cleaned up by the wasps and quickly converted into a try scores by Sarah Wilkinson.
The 2 teams were level pegging and both teams carried on fighting. The Sheffield forwards played relentlessly until they found a gap in the Wasps defence scoring their third try to win them the game.
The Wasps had several more debuts in this game and the progression that the new players are showing already is very exciting!
