Team news:
Sarah Muncaster starts at tight head instead of the injured Anna Waite in the only front row change, with the back five unchanged from Birkenhead Park away.
With Chelsea Clarkson also injured and performing touchline water duties, backline changes see Rowan Boardley move to outside centre, with Kelly Friend and Lorne Mellonie making their run-on debuts on the wings, with the half backs and full back unchanged.
A versatile bench sees Liz Stoker joined by Emma Grunnill and Emily Elshaw, who plays her first game since last season.
Insights from James Mackereth:
There were some real positive things to be taken from the narrow defeat at Birkenhead Park. Our set piece is improving week on week, we fronted up against a pack that has steamrolled opposition this season and marched them back, and our lineout was impressive in some difficult conditions, which made a huge difference to both sides.
The backline likewise are starting to be quite bold and try new things, and we've worked hard on the training pitch to mix the two together. The team this week will have a new look, and the margins of such narrow defeats are showing that elusive first win is on its way.
Playing at home we're a different animal, I thought we were desperately unlucky against Sefton and perhaps let them off the hook that day. Let's see what happens, the girls are enjoying themselves along the journey which is a big part of rugby, hopefully the enjoyment transforms into results tomorrow. Always excited, can't wait!!
