Kendal won through in driving rain in the second half, led by Phil Murphy in the second row, and Dini on the wing, with good kicking by Nathan Wooff .

Kendal played their top rivals for the first time this season. The conditions were foul this morning, pouring for hours, but fortunately it eased off at 11 o'clock this morning and started to ease. By the time it kicked off at 2 pm., it was much better.

By the game was two minutes old, the Warrington centre, L.Johnstone cut through the home defence, thin defence, for a try converted by Norman to add a seven point start : 0 -7 This was the easiest try of the season.

Fortunately for the black and ambers, Nathan Wooff managed to kick his first penalty soon after to narrow the gap by three points - 3 -7.

Gradually towards half time, Kendal's tackling was much improved as they started to put Warrington under pressure.
Chris Downham started to pick up with his scrum half, James Gough, scored Kendal's threequarters started to improve their defence.

Damian Armstrong scored the first try in the right corner, with a good burst of speed, and Nathan Wooff kicked a superb conversion from the touchline_ 10-7.

Suddenly the heavens opened again as the rains battered down once more, as the second half commenced.

Half time.

This time the rains did not stop Kendal. The next twenty minutes were magnificent, probably the best period of this season so far.
An early attack was soon squashed by the Cumbrians, and Phil Murphy charged up from the line out down the left touchline, well supported by the rest of his pack, especially Jack Ashley. After at least 50 metres, his pack twisted round and put the ball on a platter for Dini. James's pass put a dancing Dini over near the posts, following a simple conversion by Nathan Woof, 17-7

A few moments later, Warrington retaliated by swinging the ball swiftly to their right corner for Beasley to score, but the conversion was missed, and Warrington were soon split to pieces.

Zane Butler was wounded by a stray collision o a knee, as Parky replaced Zane. Wooff dashed through the middle, dummying on two occasions, scoring a great solo and kicking another conversion.24-12
Final score- 27-12.

Steve Whitehead, Head of Rugby, to BBC Cumbria -
"I have been looking to a performance like that since September. Today, we stood up to a great plan and executed it.
We scored three tries against one, and gained four points against zero from the Cheshire Cats.
That was a magnificent game today.

Our position has moved up one place in the table.
Next Saturday there will be another top clash between Warrington v Kirkby Lonsdale. Who will be next to lose their unbeaten record?

We shall see!
