MISSION IMPROBABLE ? Huddersfield’s record this season reads played 14 won 14, with the only games in the last 11 where they have not picked up maximum points, being against Rossendale (2nd) and Wirral (3rd). Wirral and Sandal (in their opening game of the season) being the only teams to pick up a losing bonus point against them, whilst no one has picked up a try scoring bonus point, as their highest points against being just 15.
At the start of the season, despite playing well, the team got well beaten (27v5) by a Huddersfield team which rarely looked as if they were hitting anything like top gear.
So a difficult game ? We thought that before Wirral, and look what happened next. As Steve Whitehead points out in this week’s Gazette, in the past Kendal teams seem to keep their best for the best – so hopefully they can do it again and finish the year with a good performance.
TEAM : Another stable line up. Matty Houghton starts on the left wing in place of Leo Mercer, with Damian Armstrong coming in on the bench. So Dini Noyo plays again at scrum half, with James Gough unavailable and last week’s Man of the Match Will Montgomery starts again.
WEATHER : Cloudy but fairly warm and probably dry
