Played in torrential rain throughout the game Furness took a 10 - nil lead through a converted try and drop-goal.
They added a second converted try scored in very similar fashion to the first in the second half. Both tries came from kicks through the defence that in the appalling conditions the covering players were not able to secure.
Kendal responded very well as the game progressed. Firstly earning themselves a penalty that centre Nathan Wooff successfully kicked to put their first points on the board.
Led by number 8 Warren Tilsley the Kendal pack, who worked hard throughout against the more experienced forwards, drove him over the try line for a well deserved score.
Kendal despite a good opening team performance could not add to the scoring & it was Furness who rounded off the scoring with a second drop-goal late in the game.
Kendal now look forward to their trip to Vale of Lune next Saturday.
