On a perfect day for rugby, the 2nd XV once again played brilliantly as a team to vanquish Warrington, sending them home having not scored a single point.
Captain Rob Wightman opened the scoring, Nick Carlton bagged a try after a mazy run and the rest of the points came from the excellent pairing at half-back, Nathan Wooff and Hugh Sutton.
Some strong running from the forwards, especially Chris Evans, Josh Chaplow and Grant Parker was a feature of the day, driving Warrington backwards each time they made a run. This set-up the perfect platform for the backs to be set loose.
Warrington kept their heads up for the full 80 minutes and kept pushing back at Kendal, but were extremely unlucky to have a try disallowed in the second half. Despite their valiant efforts, the result was never in doubt...
Man of the match Nathan Wooff, with a personal tally of 20 points, was dominant in attack and defence.
Tackle of the match award went to Joe Cook for 'nailing' his opposite winger with crunching tackles at every opportunity.
A special mention for Hugh Sutton's distribution and neat brace of tries from the scrum half position.
